Veggies Available at Walmart and Trader Joe’s Voluntarily Recalled for Possible Listeria Contamination

If you recently bought packaged veggies at Walmart or Trader Joe’s you might want to check the packaging. Mann Packing out of California has voluntary recalled its minimally-processed vegetable products because they may be contaminated with listeria. A single, positive result was found on one product during a random sampling by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Public health officials have not reported any illnesses associated with the products, which had “best-if-used-by dates” from Oct. 11 through the 20th listed on the packaging. There are several Trader Joe’s and Walmart stores in the lower Hudson Valley and Northern New Jersey. For the full list of products involved with this recall, click here.
