NY and NJ Rank Lowest in Tax Foundation’s “State Business Tax Climate Index” Report

The Tax Foundation released its “State Business Tax Climate Index” report, and New York and New Jersey both rank at the very bottom of the list. New York ranked 49th and New Jersey 50th. New Jersey was called out by the report for its high property taxes, inheritance tax, estate tax, and its “worst-structured individual income taxes.” Rockland Business Association CEO Al Samuels said New York didn’t fare much better…

Samuels did note that there was one bright spot for New York – it ranked seventh for its corporate tax ranking. The top three overall states were Alaska, South Dakota and at number one, Wyoming.
