Nanuet Man Pleads Guilty in Fatal Crash; to get 4-12 Years in Prison

A Nanuet man who admitted using drugs in the hours before speeding through a red light last June, crashing into another car and killing its two occupants, will spend 4 to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty last week. 24 year-old Matthew Sindone was originally charged with two counts of felony vehicular manslaughter in the deaths of Neil and Aline Block of New City, but pleaded guilty to just one count. Sindone crashed into the Blocks after running a red light at the intersection of Route 304 and Goebel Road in New City. Sindone reportedly said he used Xanax and Klonopin in the hours before the crash. He’ll be sentenced in January.
