Orangetown Bike Study Project Holds First Meeting (audio)

The first meeting of the Orangetown Bike Study Project was held last week, to help the town figure out what safety issues there are that can be fixed to help keep cyclists, pedestrians and motorists safe and share the roads together. Supervisor Andy Stewart said there will soon be an interactive map on the town’s website that residents can use to send information while they’re out and about with just a few taps on their smartphones…

A grant from the Tappan Zee Bridge Community Benefits Fund is underwriting the bike study. Stewart says the group could still use volunteers to help count the number of bikes that use various roads and intersections. For more information contact town hall or click here.
