Clarkstown’s suspended police chief Michael Sullivan has been found guilty of abuse of power, misconduct and conducting illegal surveillance of town residents by a hearing officer, who has recommended he be fired from his position as Chief. In a statement, Supervisor George Hoehmann called it a “sad and unfortunate chapter in our town’s history.” On his Facebook page, Sullivan said the decision wasn’t a surprise since the hearing officer has been QUOTE—”taking orders from the Hoehmann administration” –UNQUOTE. Sullivan vowed to continue his campaign for Supervisor. The Town Board still has to vote on the hearing officer’s recommendations.
