Bernard LeGeros Denied Parole for ’85 S/M Murder in Stony Point

The man serving life in prison for the gruesome 1985 sadomasochistic murder of Eigil Dag Vesti in Stony Point has been denied parole. The Journal News reports Bernard LeGeros won’t be getting out of his life sentence early. When the victim’s badly decomposed body was found months after the murder, he was identified only because he was wearing a leather mask that preserved his face. LeGeros had admitted shooting Vesti in the head and neck at his family’s estate on Buckberg Mountain Road. The case was the basis of a book written by former district attorney Kenneth Gribetz.
