Suffern Man Arrested in Domestic Violence Incident

Suffern police arrested 43 year-old village resident Juan Monge-Jacome early Sunday morning after allegedly stabbing his wife and her friend. Police say Jacome’s wife had head injuries and her friend had been stabbed in the back. Police also found two young children in the Lafayette Avenue apartment, but they were reportedly unharmed. Police say Jacome came home around 2:30 in the morning and attacked his wife and her friend, knocking the wife to the ground and kicking her in front of their two young children. The wife’s friend was stabbed when she jumped in to protect the kids. They all fled the apartment and met arriving officers. Jacome faces assault, menacing, and other charges. He was arraigned and sent to the county jail on $75,000 bail.
