Spring Valley Man Indicted for Manslaughter in Ramapo “Road Rage” Case

Rockland’s D-A says 62 year-old Albert Gomez of Spring Valley has been indicted for second degree manslaughter for the death of a three month-old boy, Mayer Braun, who was being pushed in a stroller on Route 59 in Ramapo. Gomez was reportedly angered after being cut off by a cab. After an exchange, Gomez drove on the shoulder around the cab, striking the family that had been walking on westbound shoulder of Route 59 near Robert Pitt Drive in Monsey. The boy’s mom and two sisters have reportedly been released from the hospital and are recovering at home. Gomez will be arraigned on the new charges on July 25.
