Route 304 / Goebel Road in New City Gets Repaired

The paving project, however, had been in the works for almost a year, and did not address safety issues such as speed and the traffic light that may have contributed to the fatal accident. Hoehmann says he’s asked the state Department of Transportation to study that and figure out how it can be made safer. Neil and Aline Block were killed after a two-car crash that police said was caused when 23 year-old Matthew Sindone, an unlicensed driver, sped through a red light at that same intersection.
