Fatal Hit-and-Run on Thruway; Police Look for Witnesses

New York State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a tractor trailer that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run early Sunday morning on the Thruway in Ramapo. 54 year-old Paul Peacock of Manhattan was stuck while walking on the southbound Thruway near the Ramapo Rest Area. Police aren’t sure why Peacock was walking there at the time. If anyone witnessed the accident or has information, please contact the New York State Police at 845-364-9424. The accident follows a similar accident involving a tractor-trailer fatality last week on I-95 in Westchester. A 20 year-old man was killed while changing a tire near Exit 18B Mamaroneck Avenue on.
