Spring Valley Man Charged with Attempted Murder

A convenience store clerk and a customer fought off a would-be killer last month, and now a Spring Valley man is facing attempted murder charges. Spring Valley police say 30-year-old Christopher Vilsaint tried to kill the clerk of the Kennedy Drive 7-Eleven. Vilsaint reportedly jumped over the counter armed with a knife, and ran at the clerk who fought back, fighting him off and working with a customer to hold him down until authorities arrived to the scene. Vilsaint is charged with second-degree attempted murder, robbery and attempted assault with a weapon. He is due back in court next week.
