A Newburgh man was jailed after allegedly threatening employees at the Pearl River Shop Rite with a knife, following a scuffle with store security, who say the man was shoplifting items from the store Friday afternoon. Orangetown police say 38 year-old Steven Rutkowski had stuffed a number of items into his pants and tried to leave the store without paying for them.
