Clarkstown / Sullivan Hearings Update

(Audio clip) There are four more dates of testimony to get through later this month in the second round of hearings in the case against the suspended Clarkstown police chief.  That’s according to Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann. Before that second round finishes, Hoehmann told the Morning Show, he expects a decision from the first hearings, which covered a different set of accusations…

The town board will eventually vote on the recommendations from the hearing officer who is overseeing the hearings. Chief Michael Sullivan faces about two dozen charges, ranging from insubordination to improper surveillance operations. Sullivan has called the charges part of a witch-hunt orchestrated by the supervisor, launched his own campaign for the supervisor’s job, and denied all charges against him.
