Ramapo Dirt-Pile Saga

The Ramapo dirt-piles saga continues…earlier this week Clarkstown Supervisor and head of the Rockland County Sewer District board George Hoehmann told The Morning Show that the town has yet to return the money that it was paid to remove contaminated piles of dirt from Hillburn and Sloatsburg though the work was never done. Yesterday, District One legislator Doug Jobson said he’s concerned about the money, but he also wants the area to be cleaned up…

The soil piled up after a massive sewer installation project years ago. The Sewer District contracted with the town of Ramapo and paid $400,000 towards the disposal of the soil.
