The Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Public Library is holding its 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday from noon to five p.m. First chartered in 1896, the Piermont Library opened its current Flywheel Park location in March 2007. Festivities include live music, food vendors, children’s art, stories and crafts, library history and trivia, mini golf in the stacks, an “edible books” baking contest, and more. The library is named after Dennis McHugh, a New York City firefighter from Sparkill who died in the September 11th World Trade Center attacks in 2001. For more information visit PiermontLibrary.org.
