A man was killed yesterday afternoon after being struck by a train in Passaic. NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith told NJ.com the train was carrying about 60 customers and crew members on the Port Jervis line that had left Hoboken around 12:42 p.m. headed for Middleton, NY. No injuries were reported by passengers on the train, who were transferred to another line. The incident remains under investigation, Smith said.
