If you’ve been driving across the Tappan Zee Bridge lately, you may have realized that crews have completed the installation of all 96 stay cables. Now that the stay cables are installed, the westbound span is almost near completion. All that remains on the Rockland-bound span of the new bridge is a small gap between the middle and main part of the bridge. The first portion of the bridge is expected to open later this year, which will hopefully alleviate much of the rush hour traffic. (Source: LoHud)
