At around 4 a.m. yesterday morning, residents of the Hawley Terrace apartments in Yonkers were forced to evacuate after a four-alarm fire tore through the building. Folks who lived in the building affected by the fire were brought to the Yonkers Police Athletic League, where they were assisted by volunteers. The fire displaced roughly one hundred residents in the building, and in an unfortunate update, left one resident killed as firefighters found him on the fifth floor. Fire investigators will continue to pinpoint a cause of the blaze. (Source: LoHud)
