The Rockland County Health Department has issued a list of safety tips for residents as today’s blizzard bears down on the area. Of course, all residents are urged to remain in their homes but if you have to travel, make sure you pack a survival kit in your car. Also if you have to go outside, make sure it is as brief as possible and dress as warm as possible. Finally, avoid over exertion when shoveling, while ensuring that you hydrate throughout the day.
