A Garnerville man who owned several area taxi companies was charged along with four other people with defrauding state and county agencies of more than $95,000 in benefits. That’s according to Rockland County D-A Thomas Zugibe, who says Angel Henriquez wrote phony letters to the Department of Social Services under-reporting five employees’ income, making them eligible for $65,000 in DSS benefits. If convicted, Henriquez faces up to 15 years in state prison.
