Rockland Lake to Receive $13 Million for Upgrade

Rockland Lake is set to get a $13 million upgrade for one of its pools, bathhouses, and park offices. The entire Rockland lake site was constructed in the 1960’s and is in badly need of an upgrade. $7.3 million is being allocated to replace one of the swimming pools, while $5.9 million is being directed at the remodeling of the bathhouses and offices. Rockland Lake park manager, Christian Nielson told the Journal News, that the their park pool was the most utilized pool in New York State and expects the new one to open sometime in the summer of 2018.  (Source: LoHud)
