Crews working on the new Tappan Zee Bridge will continue testing new lighting fixtures that will be displayed around the bridge. The new multi-purpose lights will display a variety of lights for decoration and act as a safety measure for air and water traffic. The lights are designed to minimize light pollution and biological impact on plants and animals. The first span of the bridge is expected to be completed sometime this year. (Source: LoHud)
