The Pharmacy Take Back Bill was officially signed into law yesterday, which would require pharmacies to take back unused prescription medication. The bill was introduced by Legislator Lon Hofstein and supported by a host of others as it was unanimously passed. It officially became law yesterday when Rockland County Executive Ed Day signed the bill at the Lexington Recovery Center. Under the new law, pharmacies have to file a plan of action to meet the requirement by April 1st. (Source: Press Release)
