Nyack’s Polar Plunge to Take Place This Sunday

Nyack’s 10th Annual Penguin Plunge will take place this Sunday at Memorial Park. The annual plunge is meant to raise money and awareness for seriously ill children in Rockland County. This year, teenager Molly McGovern of Blauvelt, 2-year-old Gabriella Camey of Tappan, and 5-year-old Noah Diaz of Congers will be the children benefiting from the plunge. It has been reported, that since 2008, the Penguin Plunge has raised $300,000 in donations for children with life threatening illnesses. The Plunge will run from noon to 2 pm on Sunday, with the actual plunge happening at 1:45 pm.   (Source: LoHud)
