Rockland Legislature Honors Three Black History Month Recipients

As Black History Month comes to a close, Rockland County legislature honored three more recipients for their contributions to the community over the years. Brenda Ross of Nanuet, Judith Johnson of New Hempstead, and Nathan Mungin III of New City are this year’s honorees. Ross is the author of the critically acclaimed novel, “Bibsy,” which tells of the heartbreaking historical accounts of African Americans in 1950’s Rockland County. Johnson meanwhile has served on the New York State Board of Regents, and Mungin is the Executive Director of the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center in Spring Valley. Congrats to all the honorees.   (Source: LoHud)
