Rockland County Veterans can Still Use Shuttle Bus

Rockland County Veterans are reminded that they must now make a reservation in advance for transportation from the clinic in New City to other VA facilities for medical care. With a reservation, the shuttle bus will still transport veterans from the satellite health care center in New City to other VA facilities in Montrose, Castle Point or the Bronx. In January, County Executive Ed Day and Rockland VA Director, Jerry Donnellan, went to a VA meeting in Castle Point to protest plans to eliminate the shuttle; they eventually decided against that decision. Veterans can call the Rockland VA center at 845-634-8995 during regular business hours to schedule a ride.
