Ramapo Chief Building Inspector Indicted for Falsifying Building Permits

Ramapo Chief Building Inspector, Anthony Mallia, has been indicted on, “188 counts accusing him of stealing $150,000 dollars from the town taxpayers and falsifying building permits and other records.” Authorities made the announcement yesterday that the 52-year-old Airmont resident was allegedly overcharging volunteer fire departments by $75,000 for permit fees. Mallia denies the charges and is scheduled for arraignment on February 14th at the rockland County Court House.   (Source: LoHud)
