It was announced this week that the New York National Guard troops, in conjunction with the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, will be presenting a disaster preparedness class at the Suffern Community Center this Saturday. The 2 hour program will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and is open to any interested citizen, without any advanced signup required. The event will provide citizens with the knowledge and tools to prepare for emergencies and disasters.
