County Executive Ed Day did not act on a funding resolution adopted by the Legislature on December 28th. The County Executive had until yesterday to veto the measure, take no action, or approve it; he decided to send it back unsigned. All of this means that more than 30 of Rockland’s nonprofit Public Benefit Organizations will receive the funding they need to continue their work. The funding for these organizations mainly comes from two contingency accounts with unspent money budgeted from 2016.
