In Mount Vernon, an arrest has been made in the shooting death of 13-year-old Shamoya McKenzie, which occurred on New Year’s Eve. 21-year-old David Hardy was allegedly aiming to shoot another person that day but hit her instead. McKenzie was a passenger in a car traveling near the 300 block of East Third Street in the afternoon of the 31st. Hardy made his initial appearance in court on Tuesday and is due back in court on February 2nd. (Source: LoHud)
