On Thursday, a 71-year-old Pleasantville man was killed in a single car accident on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown. The crash shut down two out of the three south bound lanes for two hours yesterday. Police, who have not released the man’s name, state that no one else was injured in the accident. Cortlandt officials say work is already underway for a new shopping center on Route 6 in Northern Westchester County. The new center is being developed by Acadia Reality Trust and will feature a Shoprite Supermarket, a restaurant, and multiple businesses that have yet to be named. Two men were arrested on Thursday at Newark’s Liberty Airport for allegedly using fake driver’s license ID, including one who was using the ID of a deceased person. Police were called after the two individuals attempted to rent a car from one of the airports rental car outlets. (Source: NorthJersey)
