On Wednesday, Toney L. Earl was sworn in as Chairman of the Rockland County Legislature, Nancy Low-Hogan was sworn in as Vice Chair of the Rockland County Legislature by County Clerk Paul Piperato, and finally Vincent D. Tyler was named Deputy Minority Leader by Lon M. Hofstein after Hofstein himself was elected Minority Leader.

 

Police in Ridgefield Park say a Yonkers man was arrested and found with nearly 300,000 dollars stashed within a hidden compartment in his car. 24-year-old Christopher Roman was arrested after police observed him making multiple traffic violations near Route 46. Police charged Roman with transporting property derived from a crime and gave him three motor vehicle summonses; he is bail is currently set at 100,000 dollars.   (Source: NorthJersey)

 

Police say the man who stole a flatbed truck in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Monday morning has a criminal record dating back to the early 1990’s. 50-year-old Paul T Gudanowski led police on a car chase that started in East Rutherford and ended in Rockland County as police from New Jersey and New York were able to apprehend Gudanowski.  (Source: LoHud)
