“3 Gs” for Keeping Kids Safe

Sparked by recent child luring incidents in Westchester, County Executive Rob Astorino joined by Commissioner of Public Safety George Longworth have advanced their Safer Communities initiative Friday. Astorino has issued safety tips for parents and their children about what to do in the event they encounter a predator coined the “3 Gs”: Get Loud, Get Away and Get Help. These three common sense steps to safety can prevent tragedies. Astorino in regards to the last week’s incidents said, “They serve as a reminder that we must be vigilant and never take our children’s safety for granted. For all the parents out there, as well as teachers and all caretakers, the most important thing you can do is to have this conversation with your kids.” For more information: westchestergov.com/safer-communities.
