Elmostafa Charif, 37-year-0ld of Queens, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to conspiracy to distribute, and possessing with intent to distribute two compounds that are chemical analogues of THC, the active chemical component in marijuana. Authorities say the chemicals are often distributed under the names including “spice” and “K2”. They’re commonly sprayed on flavored leaves and then smoked. Court records show Charif was arrested in April 2015 after a surveillance operation at a warehouse in Linden, New Jersey.
