Rockefeller Center Tree Heads to NYC

It’s time to tag that Christmas tree for Rockefeller Center. And the winner is a 94-foot Norway spruce from Oneonta, Otsego County. Angie and Graig Eichler will see the tree leave their property on November 10 and travel to New York City where it will delight all of New York and tourists from around the world. The switch for the tree’s 50,000 lights will be flipped on November 30. The lumber from the tree will go to Habit for Humanity.  Last year’s tree built a home in Newburgh.
