Early this month we reported on 57-year-old Raymond Ortiz who had walked away from St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers and had gone missing. Last week, near the Yonkers train, a passerby noticed a body floating in the river near 1 Van Der Donck Street. Yonkers police are now confirming that Ortiz has been identified through dental records as the man found in the river.
