ISIS Sympathizer in Monroe

Mid-Hudson News reports this morning that authorities are investigating claims by a man who was picked up by Monroe Police claiming to have affiliations with ISIS. 26-year-old Aburrham Issam Qadan, told authorities that he was on his way with his girlfriend to LaGuardia to place explosives when they had a fight and she put his duffle bag behind the gas station and drove off. As a result the FBI , State Police, NYPD and local police were called to investigate. Bomb technicians responded to the scene on Route 17M and Gilbert Street but no explosives were found. Qadan admitted to lying about the explosives and was charged with falsely reporting an incident, making terror threats, both felonies and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was placed in Orange County Jail.
