Governor Andrew Cuomo has canceled his trip to Israel in the wake of the New Jersey transit crash, which occurred at the Hoboken station. Cuomo had planned to attend the funeral of former Prime Minister Shimon Peres but will instead address the media at 2 p.m., along with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, and provide updates on the crash.

This morning, Kelly Gribeluk pleaded guilty in the plot to have Podiatrist Ira Bernstein’s estranged wife murdered. It is unclear whether Gribeluk pleaded guilty with the intention to provide information against Bernstein. Gribeluk sentencing is planned for January, and she was released on 50,000 dollar bail. The two lovers were caught back in May of this year by an undercover cop who was posing as a hitman. (Source: LoHud)

In Clifton, New Jersey a 33-year-old man was arrested for impersonating a police officer and threatening another driver and her family. Rami Shalhoub was involved in a dispute at a gas station when he claimed to be a police officer. Shaloub then showed a fake police badge and pointed a gun at a woman and the rest of her family, including her 6-year-old child. He was arrested on multiple charges and has had his bail set at 50,000 dollars. (Source: NorthJersey)

In Major League Baseball news, The New York Mets kept pace in the Wild Card hunt by beating the Miami Marlins 5-2. The New York Yankees won last night on a walk-off home run and put a damper on the Red Sox celebration as they clinched the AL East after Toronto lost. The Mets are off tonight and the Yankees will play Boston again; game time is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
