Rockland County Executive Ed Day wants to see young people working, in school, and at home with family, not in court or prison. The Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has awarded Rockland County $4 million to expand the Partnership for Safe Youth. According to Day the funding will allow service for more youth and to focus closely on their mental health needs. The hope is that the program will serve 255 people this year in Nyack at BOCES building.
