Two Hudson Valley Parks Receive Updates

New York has committed $2.5 million to build or improve 13 playgrounds across the State and two are in the Hudson Valley region. State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey said, “More than just places to have fun, playgrounds help children build their strength and self-confidence.” James Baird State Park in Pleasant Valley will replace equipment and install panels highlighting the species of turtles indigenous to the Hudson Valley. Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park in Yorktown Heights – will receive a new playground at Parking Lot 6, one of the most popular picnic areas in the park.
