The seemingly never-ending saga of the American Dream Meadowlands mall has hit another snag. A non-profit group opposed to the issuance of more than $1 billion in bonds for the project filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority which approved the bonds last month. The New Jersey Alliance for Fiscal Integrity called it “an illegal shell game” and wants the authority’s August 25th vote to issue the bonds overturned, claiming there should have been a competitive bidding process for the bonds. Once known as “Xanadu,” the project has languished for more than a decade. It is currently slated to open in mid-2018, and if all goes as planned, the 90-acre facility will include an indoor ski slope, aquarium, water park and amusement park.

It’s an argument people will probably have forever, but the folks at The Daily Meal are trying to put an end to the debate. They’ve just released their list of the top 101 Best Pizzas in America. Not surprisingly, the NY Metro area takes up 1/3 of the list…29 are from the NYC area, and 5 come from New Jersey pizzerias. While not one “Rays’ Original Famous” made the list, neither did any from the Hudson Valley or upstate New York. \
