The winners of the Dairy Products Competition, highlighting the world-class dairy products produced in New York State were announced yesterday at The Great New York State Fair. Yancey’s Fancy of Western New York earned the Grand Champion for cheese; Battenkill Valley Creamery of Salem was the top scoring milk. And a little side note, Coach Farm of the Hudson Valley won a gold medal for it’s Goat Cheese Log and an award of Excellence for its Hudson Valley Truffle.
