Vincent Marable Arrested for Animal Cruelty

57-year-old Vincent Marable of West Lincoln Avenue in Mount Vernon was arrested yesterday by Humane Law Enforcement Director Ernest Lungaro and charged with animal cruelty, according to the SPCA of Westchester. Marable had confined a dog in the basement of his building and deprived the animal of food and water. The young pit bull mix was found by officers covered in filth, emaciated, dehydrated and suffering from flea infestation that had led to sores all over its body. It was an anonymous call last Friday to SPCA Westchester that tipped off authorities. The animal was taken to SPCA’s Simpson Clinic for treatment. Officer’s also discovered seven other dogs being abused. If you suspect an animal is being mistreated you can call the Animal Cruelty Hotline 914-941-7797.  All calls are confidential.
