Afternoon News Update 8/26

A 17-year-old from Irvington, New York suffered a fatal accident at a popular Vermont swimming hole. Vermont police say Tyler Rosenberg was on the highest cliff at Hamilton Falls when he slipped and fell down a 100 foot chute. Tyler was brought to closest hospital but unfortunately passed away from his injuries a few hours later. (LoHud)

In Clifton, New Jersey, police are searching for a man who robbed the Boiling Springs Bank in the Clifton Commons. The suspect entered the bank at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday morning and gave the teller a note demanding an undisclosed amount of money. Authorities say the man was in his 40s or 50s, wearing a baseball cap with an American flag on it, and glasses. Clifton Police are asking anyone with information to call 973-470-5911. (NorthJersey)

Two teens that went missing in Bear Mountain State Park overnight were found this morning after a search involving State police and volunteers. Moshe Ledereuch and Yosef Rothman were part of a group of Yeshiva students from Brooklyn who became separated from their group. An unidentified hiker was the first person to come across the lost teens; the two boys were healthy and only slightly dehydrated when they were found. (LoHud)

The Rockland Boulders continued their playoff push last night with an 8-2 win against the Sussex County Miners. Jason Byers earned the win for Rockland, while Danny Moskovits took the loss for Sussex. The Boulders are back in Rockland tonight to face the Miners again; game time is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
