Police in Yonkers are searching for a man who robbed an Atlantic Bank on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect entered the bank at around 1:30 p.m., handed a plastic bag to the teller, and demanded an undisclosed amount of money. The man was described as a white male in his 40s and wearing an army fatigue jacket. This incident comes just days after a Chase bank in Haverstraw was robbed. Police are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call 914-377-7724.

Tax officials in New York are warning residents that scammers are using state phone numbers in an attempt to collect fake payments. The calls are asking for residents to make payments using iTunes gift cards or other debit cards. If you believe that you are someone you know has been contacted by these scammers, you can contact the Department of Taxation and Finance as 518-457-5434.

In Philipstown, two teenagers are facing felony charges after police caught them spray painting graffiti on an Indian Brook Road bridge. 18-year-old John D. Darling and 17-year-old Kevin L. Dyckman were charged with third-degree criminal mischief, making graffiti, and possession of graffiti instruments. If the two teens are found guilty, they could face up to four years in a New York State Correctional Facility and a fine of up to 5,000 dollars.

The Rockland Boulders swept their doubleheader with the Trois-Rivieres Aigles last night, winning 9-1 in the first game and 3-0 in the second. Rockland continues their series with the Trois-Riviers Aigles tonight in Canada; game time is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
