Lynch Appointed Ramapo Finance Director

The town of Ramapo has a new finance director for the first time in eight years since Rockland County Legislator Illan Schoenberger resigned the position in 2008. Town Supervisor, Christopher St. Lawrence and deputy finance director Nathan Oberman, have been managing the town’s finances since Schoenberger’s departure. 61-year-old CPA John W. Lynch was hired July 18 to balance the town’s books. Lynch’s resume lists 25 years of financial experience in the private sector, time at Ernst & Young, Rudolf Wolff & Co. and some time abroad in India working for Paracor. Lynch will now be responsible for all areas of the town’s finances including budget, bills, payroll and audits.
