Yesterday at approximately 6:50 a.m. a fire broke out at Germonds Village in Bardonia. 10 fire departments responded to the blaze that destroyed four units in the center section of the village with eight others sustaining water and smoke damage. Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann called The Morning Show at 8:50 a.m. to report that several firefighters had sustained minor injuries. Route 304 in both directions was closed off from traffic and reopened by within hours. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
