I’m Patrick Flood with your WRCR News, It’s Tuesday August 16th.

Route 304 has officially been reopened this morning after a fire ripped through several condos in Germonds Village. Dozens of firefighters from 10 different departments worked for an hour to extinguish the blaze. Reports have indicated that none of the residents were injured in the fire, however a few firefighters suffered minor injuries and burns from falling sheetrock. Authorities are saying that the fire does not appear suspicious and it is still currently under investigation.

In Haverstraw on Monday, a Chase bank was robbed during the closing minutes of the work day. At 5:20pm, which is ten minutes before the bank is scheduled to close; the suspect walked in and gave the teller a note demanding an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was then able to escape the scene and is currently at large. Anyone who may have information on the incident can call the Haverstraw police at 845-354-1500.

The World Trade Center complex continues to grow, as a brand new 365,000-square-foot shopping center officially opened its doors today. The Westfield World Trade Center Mall will feature more than one hundred stores including Disney, Under Armor, and Bose. The shopping center is located at the transit hub and is expected to see millions of customers per year.

The Rockland Boulders split a double header yesterday against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles, winning the first game 11-0 and subsequently losing the second game 11-0. The Boulders continue their series against the Trois-Rivieres Aigles in Canada tonight; game time is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
