On Tuesday, Mahwah police arrested a Rockland man after he fought with a security guard and attempted to rob a Home Depot. 61-year-old Michael Macleish of Montebello tried to steal multiple items from the Home Depot, while under the influence of alcohol. Police say he had stolen Home Depot merchandise in his car, which were valued at $900. Macleish was charged with robbery, theft, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He is being held Bergen County Jail on $100,000 bail.

A New Jersey based landscaper faces multiple felony charges after defrauding 9 of his employees. 51-year-old Christopher Greco was paid by the Rockland County government for tree removal work. Greco’s company, Cross County Landscape, completed the work; however, instead of fully paying his employees, Greco pocketed Rockland’s money. Greco faces a 56-count indictment charge; he is set to appear in court on August 23rd.

Senators Jeff Klein and David Carlucci will release a new bombshell report on the popular game Pokémon GO, which illustrates the high rate of characters popping up in front of registered sex offenders’ homes in Westchester and Rockland counties. Senator David Carlucci explained the importance of this legislation to WRCR this morning. The senators will discuss two pieces of legislation introduced to protect children playing augmented reality games from predators today at the Rockland County Courthouse.

The Rockland Boulders are back in action tonight as they look to turn things around against the Quebec Capitales in Canada; Game time is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
