“Smash and Breaks” from Piermont to Newburgh

Police are probing five “smash and break” burglaries that occurred Tuesday night into Wednesday morning up Route 9W starting in Piermont and ending in Newburgh. Clarkstown Police have released photos of two suspects in the robbery of an Upper Nyack store were a window was smashed and approximately $200 was taken. They also broke into the Mini-Mart on Route 9W in Piermont late Tuesday night, shattering the front door window with stones and took the cash from the register, there was a “smash and grab” just before 1 a.m. at the Citgo Mart Store in Clarkstown where they smashed the front glass door and stole the entire cash register.
